Gear Review: Mardingtop 40L Water-resistant Hiking Daypack/Camping Backpck

Good, basic bag. Comfortable to carry, roomy interior. Good as a daypack but big enough for an overniter. Good for a beginner who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on a starter bag.

Pros

Comfortable padded straps
Very roomy on inside

Cons

Hydration bag not specifically accommodated.

I picked up this bag last week from Amazon. I was looking for a simple daypack to replace one I had worn out. This Mardingtop 40L Lightweight Daypack was a decent replacement for the price. It’s not my every day bag but it’s getting decent use. As soon as I got it, I loaded it up and took it on a camp out at a local lake.

The straps are well padded and comfortable. There is also carry handle on the top. The outside net pockets are very convenient and a nice addition for quick access to snacks or a water bottle. Nice stiff back padding that keeps the unit off your back and the straps provide plenty of room for adjustment. The snaps and zippers seem sturdy enough and are easy to use. The pouches are pretty simple with separators and a zippered pouch. There is a flexible cord on the outside that I used to have a light jacket handy.

Wish it was made from a tear stop material and had a hydration compartment with a hole but overall satisfied with it for how I will use it.

For the money, it’s a decent bag. Not hardcore hiking/camping but for light duty, it is good.
